Spain is known for its sun, sea and sand. That is why so many tourists head to the coasts of Spain. Tenerife however, has a better reputation than that: in Tenerife you get the sun, sea and sand but the sun does not get too hot that you need to stay inside for most of the time. The mild sun is a great boom for the farming industry and helps to produce great wine, in particular the signature wine known as Tacoronte - Acentejo.
Because of the gorgeous weather that Tacoronte has it makes the beaches a very popular place to be.
As the weather is warm all year round you can enjoy walking around the shops at a leisurely pace. You may want to load up on local crafts. The Canary Island natives are known for their excellent embroidery, thread, and lace work, which they craft painstakingly by hand. Pottery is also a popular souvenir item; Canarian pottery is made with very few tools; not even a potter's wheel is used!
