People in Las Galletas observe a variety of holidays and festivals each year. Being predominantly Catholic, the locals can be extra devout in their observance. The major celebration of Las Galletas is the Carnival, which takes place every year in February. This is a week-long celebration that draws hundreds, even thousands, of visitors each year. During Carnival week, people dress in a bewildering array of colourful and lively costumes.
