La Orotava is a town on the island of Tenerife. Tenerife is part of the Canary Islands which are situated just off the north coast of Africa. Because of where it is La Orotava is blessed with a gorgeous climate through out the year. The sun shines around 300 days a year and the temperatures usually range from around 16ºc to 25ºc. It has warm winters and pleasantly hot summers. There is nothing more you could ask for.
With the climate being as lovely as it is it gives you so many options as to what you can do. You are able to go to one of the many gorgeous beaches that La Orotava has to offer. Not all of them are natural beaches. A few have been man made with sand taken fro the Sahara desert. Some of the man made beaches are more popular than the natural ones.
Although it does not get scorching hot in the summer at times you may want to escape from the sun and what better way to do it than to learn about the history and culture of La Orotava. There are many museums in La Orotava, each of them different and each interesting.
