Icod places of interest

Icod de Los Vinos is known as the place where the oldest dragon tree can be found. The dragon tree is a species that is native, but not endemic, to the Canary Islands. The Icod tree, named Drago de Icod, is said to be hundreds of years old, but the exact age has yet to be determined. It is also a regarded as a monument and symbol of the town. This tree is set in the Parque del Drago. This park has become famous for this tree.
However this is not the only park that there is in Icod de los Vinos. There is the Cueva del Viento ( Cave of the Wind ).

Icod de los vinos, Tenerife places of interest
This cave is said to be the largest volcanic cave in the world and therefore it is definitely something worth visiting. Within this cave there is a complex of lava tubes with several outlets and several interesting geomorphologic rock structures.
If you want to look at exhibits then you should go to the museum. The museum is called The Casa de Los Cáceres and was formerly the home of Lorenzo Cáceres, a Spanish colonel. Today, the house is a museum with a variety of relics and artifacts on exhibit inside.
The climate rarely gets too hot over here and therefore you should be comfortable to walk around these parks and to go visiting the museum and there should even be a little bit of time left over for you to sunbathe on the glorious beaches that they have in Icod de los Vinos.
