The main park to visit in Icod de Los Vinos is Parque del Drago, the park where the famed Icod dragon tree, the Drago de Icod, grows. Close by, the Mariposario del Drago is a tropical butterfly garden. Here, hundreds of species of butterflies have been brought from all over the world.
The Cueva del Viento ( Cave of the Wind ) is said to be the largest volcanic cave in the world. The length of the cave is estimated to be over 14 kilometers. Inside, there is a complex of lava tubes with several outlets and several interesting geomorphological rock structures.

A unique ecology exists within the cave, and there are also many fossils that have been unearthed.
Near the Parque del Drago, is a quaint little plaza with a small botanical garden. The plaza is bordered by majestic old Canarian homes and is considered the most beautiful plaza in all the Canary Islands.
If you want other things to do then there is always the museum for you to go and visit. The Casa de Los Cáceres was formerly the home of Lorenzo Cáceres, a Spanish colonel. It was built in a neoclassical style. Today, the house is a museum with a variety of relics and artefacts on exhibit inside. And if that is not to your taste then there is always the beach for you to go and enjoy yourself on.
