El Tanque

Located in the western part of the island, It is situated at the top of Daute County, on a privilege location that becomes it on the �balcony of this wonderful of Tenerife�. Its approximately 3000 habitants distributed in 5 locations: El Tanque Alto, El Tanque Bajo, Ruig�mez, Erjos y San Jos� de Los Llanos, places all of them that keep their rural personality and rich traditions. Remarkable celebrations like �Romer�a de San Alejo�, �Baile de las Libreas�, �D�a de la Trilla� among the most important.

El Tanque is one the towns with more protected land. More than the half is integrated in one of the following spaces: Parque Rural de Teno, Parque Natural of Corona Forestal, Space of La Culata rifts, and natural Reservation of Chinvero.
